W Talent are now supporting a market leading manufacturing business based in Nottinghamshire to find a new HR Manager. This bespoke manufacturing business is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and are looking to recruit a highly talented HR Manager to join their senior leadership team.

Job Overview

The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring the alignment of the HR strategy with the business goals. This role requires a dynamic and proactive HR professional with experience in the manufacturing sector. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

* Recruitment and Onboarding - Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.

* Employee Relations - Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring prompt and effective resolution. Foster a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and employee recognition programs.

* Performance Management - Oversee the performance appraisal process, providing guidance and support to managers on performance issues. Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed.

* Training and Development - Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary.

* Compliance and Policy Management - Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations. Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.

* Compensation and Benefits - Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs. Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.

* Health and Safety - Collaborate with the health and safety team to ensure a safe working environment. Manage workplace safety programs and compliance with safety regulations.

* HR Administration - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Prepare HR reports and metrics for senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

* Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

* Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

* Strong understanding of HR practices and employment law.

* Proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on approach.

* High level of integrity and confidentiality.

* Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous.

* CIPD qualification is preferred.

* Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organisation.
