About Pressbeau

Pressbeau is a successful, family-run nursing home group with a reputation for delivering high-quality care and putting people at the heart of everything we do. As our portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our Head Office team in Gerrards Cross.

This is a broad, hands-on role that combines operational HR with the opportunity to influence business decisions. You'll work closely with senior leaders, providing commercially focused HR support while helping to drive improvements across the employee lifecycle, workforce planning and organisational development.

Previous experience within healthcare is not essential. We're looking for an experienced HR professional who can bring fresh ideas, strong employment law knowledge and a pragmatic, commercially minded approach.

The Role

This is a key role requiring someone who can provide both strategic and operational HR support, ensuring best practice across the employee lifecycle while working closely with senior leaders and Home Managers to foster a positive, high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to exit.

*

Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance management.

*

Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation and reflect best practice.

*

Support and improve recruitment processes, onboarding and retention initiatives.

*

Analyse HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends and support business decision-making.

*

Support workforce planning, staffing budgets and organisational planning.

*

Develop and implement HR initiatives that improve employee engagement and operational effectiveness.

*

Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.

*

Support managers with performance management, succession planning and employee development.

*

Build strong working relationships with managers across the business

About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, approachable and commercially aware, with the ability to balance business needs alongside employee wellbeing.

You'll have:

*

Previous experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role.

*

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

*

Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases.

*

Excellent communication and influencing skills.

*

A pragmatic, commercially focused approach to problem-solving.

*

The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

*

Strong organisational and analytical skills.

What We Offer

*

Competitive salary of £45,000–£55,000 (negotiable depending on experience).

*

The opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing family-owned business.

*

A varied and autonomous role with exposure to all aspects of HR.

*

Supportive leadership team and a collaborative working environment.

*

Opportunities to contribute to business growth and continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys making a real impact within a growing organisation and is looking to join a supportive leadership team where people are at the heart of everything they do
