The Role

With in excess of 700 colleagues and a 24/7 operation, KP Teesside is home to a number of iconic brands such as McCoys, Pom Bears, Discos, Hula Hoop Puft and many other family favourites. As HR Manager you will be responsible for all site operational activities, providing advice & guidance on all people related matters and coaching key client groups such line managers and the Extended Leadership Team. Reporting into the HR BP you will also work closely with central Payroll and People Services and the wider HR function to provide an effective HR service.

* Ensure the delivery of a proactive, professional & value-added HR Partnering service to create positive employee relations climate and improved employee engagement

* Supporting the delivery of Gallup Q12 survey and action plans.

* Lead the delivery of the core HR processes to a high standard and on time including: Recruitment and Selection, Talent Management & Succession Planning, Flexible Working and Performance Management.

* Compliance to processes and policy and alignment across all HR practices

* Working closely with centralised Payroll and People Services to ensure pay and data integrity and accuracy.

* Effective case management and administration of employee relations issues including absence, grievances, conduct and performance

* Ensuring we keep our colleagues informed and updated about changes and initiatives

* Responsible for a range of HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to facilitate the better management of the business e.g. absence, headcount, employee engagement and employee turnover.

* Work closely with Employee Health and wellbeing to support our colleagues and manage the Mental Health First Aider group

* Be a role model for KP’s Values and Behaviours to drive culture change

* Role model and develop the site I&D Strategy

* Take a lead role in implementing and delivering the site’s Organisation Pillar activity (and HR strategy and agenda); managing change focused on the delivery of our new ways of working (IWS)

This role will involve regular time spent with colleagues and teams within the factory environment

The Candidate:

* Degree qualified / minimum of CIPD level 5 (or with equivalent experience).

* Generalist HR experience in an organisation of similar size and complexity. Manufacturing knowledge is ideal.

* Worked effectively with trade unions.

* Ability to build credible relationships with stakeholders

* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and gather insights from data.

* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.

* Organised and able to prioritise stakeholder requirements at pace

* Sound judgment and decisive thinker.

* Computer literate and is able to pick up new applications quickly. (MS 365 as a minimum)
