Description:
Human Resources Officer Axon Moore is currently working with a growing organisation to recruit a Human Resources Officer to join its HR team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who is looking for a genuinely varied, fast-paced role with exposure to all areas of HR.
You’ll be joining a busy and supportive HR function where you’ll have the opportunity to get involved across the full employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, policies, performance, probation and offboarding, this is a 360 HR position that will give you excellent breadth of experience.
You’ll work closely with managers and employees across the business, providing day-to-day HR advice and support whilst also getting involved in wider HR projects and initiatives.
Importantly, you’ll be working alongside an experienced and supportive HR Manager who will provide guidance, development and plenty of opportunity to learn. This would suit someone who already has a solid grounding in HR and is keen to broaden their experience within a busy environment.
What will you be doing? Your role will be varied, with responsibilities including:
Providing timely and professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of employee relations matters
Supporting managers with employee relations cases, ensuring advice is aligned with employment legislation and internal policies
Taking accurate notes during formal meetings and preparing high-quality HR documentation
Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and wider HR initiatives
Managing recruitment processes from start to finish, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews and onboarding
Coordinating the offboarding process, including exit interviews and relevant documentation
Providing guidance to managers and new employees throughout probationary periods
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
Managing HR databases and ensuring information is maintained to a high standard
Keeping the internal intranet up to date, ensuring employees have access to accurate and relevant information
Supporting HR reporting, analytics and continuous improvement projects
Providing wider HR administration and support across the HR function
What are we looking for? We’re keen to speak with HR professionals who enjoy working in a very fast-paced environment and are looking for a role where they can gain broad exposure across HR.
You’ll ideally have:
Previous experience in a generalist HR role
Experience handling employee relations matters
CIPD Level 3 qualification is essential
Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships across all levels of an organisation
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
A professional and confidential approach
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a busy environment
Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
A genuine interest in developing your HR career and broadening your experience across the full HR function
What's on offer? Alongside a competitive salary, the role comes with a strong benefits package including:
20 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service
Christmas shutdown
Pension scheme
Continued professional development opportunities
Cycle to Work Scheme
Long Service Awards
Employee discounts
Life Assurance
24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
A very supportive and experienced HR Manager
Excellent exposure across all areas of HR
The opportunity This is a great opportunity for someone with their CIPD Level 3 who wants to take the next step in their HR career and gain genuine 360 exposure.
The environment is fast-paced, varied and hands-on, so you'll need to be someone who enjoys being busy, can manage competing priorities and isn't afraid to get stuck in. In return, you'll have the support of an experienced HR Manager and the opportunity to develop your knowledge across a broad range of HR activity.
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
If you're looking for a role where you can broaden your HR experience, develop your skills and work within a supportive team, we'd be keen to hear from you.
