The role

This is a new, fixed-term role for and will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation through transformative changes. You will collaborate with leadership teams, HR colleagues, and other stakeholders to assess, plan, and implement change initiatives aimed at improving organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and business performance.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop comprehensive change management strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives.

2. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to ensure buy-in and support for change initiatives.

3. Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and executives to articulate the vision for change and address concerns.

4. Develop strategies to engage employees throughout the change process, soliciting feedback and addressing concerns proactively.

5. Responsibility for the design and ongoing implementation of a culture change programme, on a large scale, in a complex and newly formed organisation.

6. Engage and consult with recognised trade unions on change programmes where there is a statutory requirement to do so.

7. Develop active commitment to the need to ensure equality of opportunity and the benefits of diversity.

In addition to the above, the HR Change Consultant will be expected to:

* Undertake regular training required to fulfil the role to a high standard.

* Adhere to our policies, procedures and standards as published.

* To uphold and embody values and behaviours in all that you do.

Person specification

Must have:

Qualifications and experience

1. Educated to degree level or holding an equivalent professional or management qualification (e.g. ILM 5) or significant professional experience relevant to the designated area of work.

Experience

1. Experience of delivering OD on a significant scale, in a complex organisation (ideally in social care) undergoing significant change.

2. Experience of working at a strategic level to develop and drive the people and culture priorities.

3. Experience of developing positive relationships and respect from a wide range of stakeholders in a large, complex organisation.

4. Experience of consulting and negotiating with trade unions.

5. Proven extensive track record of project management, delivering organisational development programmes.

Skills and knowledge

Knowledge and experience of OD theory with proven ability to engage and build commitment to solutions.

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with trade unions and other key stakeholders.

Analytical thinker who confidently manages data, communicating the outputs of this into an engaging communication approach.

Collaborative and influential leader with excellent negotiation skills.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with people of all levels. Natural ability to build trusting partnerships.

Strong project management skills especially in planning projects, holding others to account and managing stakeholders.

Significant knowledge of the social care sector.

Attributes
