Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor, on a rolling 12-month contract, to join a multinational, automotive manufacturer based in Oxford.
You will need to be an experienced HR Advisor qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferably in a HR/ Business Management related subject.
Location: Oxford
Pay rate: £27.41ph
Standard working hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 1pm
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Leadership Partner HR Management Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for Management and Trade Union queries and topics related to your area of responsibility.
Represent interests in cross functional circles and meetings as well as the realisation of top-down activities.
Overseeing and taking responsibility for the selection of suitable candidates for open positions with Line Managers as well as responsibility for contractual changes in terms of new hires, job changes, promotions, salary changes and one-off payments.
A key part of the role will be to provide advice and support on the application of disciplinary measures and grievance procedure.
Supporting with measures to improve employee wellbeing.
Processing contractual changes using SAP.
To support, and where appropriate lead HR projects.
You will drive and steer Absence Management as well as issues stemmed as a result of Trade Union negotiations, such as working time models and individual measures
Candidate Specification
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferably in a HR/ Business Management related subject.
Knowledge of HR processes and best practice.
Passion for continuous improvement with a focus on digital transformation.
Ability to deal with complexity and change management in a positive and proactive manner.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
A people person: you will provide a calm, patient, and supportive influence.
A team player with strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills based on trust and transparency.
Experience in a unionised environment (desirable).
Ability to handle pressure whilst solving problems and conflicts combined with highly developed communication skills essential
