HR Assistant Manager; Employee Relations

We are working with one of our leading education partners in West Yorkshire. Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their well established and friendly HR team within a 6-month fixed term contract to support with Employee Relations.

You will be part of a small, busy and friendly team and work collaboratively across case work, supporting with employee relations mater such as engagement surveys, reviews, sickness management, contracts, disciplinary meetings and in addition be part of wider projects driving positive objectives forward.

This is not a recruitment role and you must have experience with ER cases, Unions and tribunals.

This project could potentially be extended - dependant on delivery and funding.

The role is ideally fully office based; however, could potentially be offered with 1 day working from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide professional advice to business areas, supporting best management practices.
Lead in managing employee relations casework, including complex cases at hearing and appeal stages.
Build strong relationships with contacts in various business areas.
Oversee changes in terms and conditions for existing staff members, including issuing new contracts.
Advise on and process acting up applications and flexible working requests.
Manage the fixed-term end date process and probationary processes for all staff.
Provide effective advice on general HR issues, coordinating family leave, and ensuring compliance with University policies.
Stay updated on HR knowledge and skills through continuous training and development.Required Skills & Experience:

Experience as an HR generalist or specialist with a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Proficiency in writing formal outcome letters following casework meetings.
Ability to handle individual employee and manager queries effectively.
Experience in employee relations and advice, independently managing casework.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
CIPD Level 5 qualification.
