We are now looking for an HR Assistant to join our busy team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Please note that there is no opportunity for hybrid working.

The Role

As an HR Assistant, you will provide human resources administrative support to us and three of our partner organisations in the Go-Ahead group.

Working within our Human Resources Department, you will maintain HR systems, files, spreadsheets and databases, and assist colleagues who raise HR admin-related queries.

You will provide support to the recruitment process, from placing adverts, drawing up offer letters and contracts, and providing documentation throughout a colleague’s employment with us.

Additionally, you will:

- Conduct pre-employment check for prospective employees
- Respond to first-line queries and take appropriate action
- Maintain bi-annual calibration of the alcometer
- Monitor unauthorised absence using our online system
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation

About You

To be considered as an HR Assistant, you will need:

- Experience of working in an administration role
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent) at Level 4 or Grade C
