As an HR and Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Collaboration with other departments is key to gather payroll information promptly. You will accurately calculate and process wages and deductions according to employee contracts and prepare monthly reports, including overtime reports. Your tasks also involve processing payroll payments in coordination with the Finance department and completing HMRC documentation on time. Addressing payroll queries and staying updated on legislation changes are essential. Additionally, you will update the HR system with employee details, assist with daily records management, respond to HR-related queries, and occasionally cover for the Learning & Development Administrator. You will undertake various administrative tasks related to employee benefits, conduct meeting minutes, and contribute to reward surveys.

Hours of Work: Full Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

HR and Payroll Advisor Requirements:

Minimum of two years in a payroll role, demonstrating proficiency in handling all facets of payroll processes from initiation to completion on a monthly basis.
Experience managing payroll for a workforce ranging between 250 to 500 employees is essential.
Thorough understanding of statutory payments and deductions, including but not limited to SSP, SMP, TAX, and NI.
Minimum educational attainment of GSCE standard or equivalent, with strong proficiency in Maths and English.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a must, particularly Excel at an advanced level.
Previous experience working within an HR environment is preferred, showcasing familiarity with HR processes and procedures.
Proficient in using advanced Excel functions and financial modelling tools.
Desirable:

Experience using Iris Payroll Professional and Cascade.
Working towards a CIPP qualification.
