We are looking for an experienced HR administrator to join our team as our HR coordinator. Our ideal candidate is passionate about working with people, has good attention to detail and has at least three years of experience in an HR administrative role.

The HR administrator will work as part of the HR Department to deliver a wide range of administrative support to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the business unit.

You will handle the general employee lifecycle administration and daily record-updating & documentation of the HR business support service and be the first point of contact for any HR-related queries.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support throughout the full employment cycle, including organising interviews, issuing contracts, onboarding employees and general HR admin.
Ensuring all HR records are kept up to date and compliant with GDPR.
Process contractual and non-contractual terms and conditions changes.
Ensure absence management processes are followed effectively.
Monitor absences and provide reports to the relevant manager.
Support the HR function with project work.
Support with the management of the HR mailbox and dealing with general queries.
Production of accurate HR reports.
Input and maintenance of data onto HR systems.
Organising, co-ordinating and recording all training.
Processing contract changes.
Support the HR function to coordinate HR employee engagement events.

Additional Information

Many of our team work flexible hours. For this role, we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, or compressed hours.

This role is located at our main site in Forth, Lanark with occasional travel to our site in Falkirk.

Essential Skills

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working in an HR administrative role
A confident communicator (verbal and written) with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent IT capabilities including MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
Previous experience using an HR digital system
Excellent organisational skills and a high degree of attention to detail
A friendly, customer-service-focused approach. Confident in speaking to colleagues of all levels across the business.
A good understanding of GDPR and working in a team environment where personal data is kept confidential, protected and secure.
An HR qualification or CIPD would be advantageous.
