THE COMPANY
Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services are a leading provider of scaffolding, access and specialised services to the industrial, energy and commercial sectors.
JOB PURPOSE
The HR Advisor will provide proactive HR services to support achievement of business objectives on site, ensuring delivery of common/corporate HR strategies and provide a local HR service to the business. Facilitate all day to day operational HR requirements and coordinate HR processes, programs and initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues. Including accompanying managers to meetings in relation to HR matters and ensure relevant documentation is provided.
* Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues actively working with the relevant national agreements.
* Liaise with managers on recruitment needs and support by placing adverts and participating in the interview process.
* Support the employee life cycle. Managing all HR processes such as recruitment, starters, leavers, employment changes, etc.
* Support the site with any tribunal claims.
* Provide support and guidance to managers on redundancies and restructures and assist in the process ensuring relevant documentation is provided.
* Complete all HR administration paperwork and data collation connected to the site.
* Work closely with managers to discuss and resolve people management issues and drive performance improvements.
* Assist with training requirements for the site supporting the implementation of a training matrix.
* Support managers in identifying development needs and opportunities.
* Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback.
* Participate in and/or manage projects that arise for the business group and for the central HR team (eg: policy review).
* Ensure employee compliance with Health and Safety policies, procedures and practice.
* Support and promote a team culture and company values.
* Ensure effective communication with management, escalating issues that arise.
* Act promptly on day to day enquiries from internal and external sources.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience of working in a HR Advisor role within an industrial related sector (construction, oil and gas, engineering etc.)
* CIPD qualified
* Experience of working in a busy and demanding HR environment with the ability to adapt and operate at all levels when working under pressure.
* Able to multi-task and respond to queries efficiently and in a timely manner, whilst providing first class advice, ensuring activities are prioritised in accordance with the needs of the business with a solution focused approach.
* Organised and self-motivated with the ability to build and maintain solid relationships having the confidence to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Approachable with strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, having experience of coaching and guiding others, along with sound administration skills and attention to detail.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This vacancy is a maternity cover for approximately 12 months. You will be based out of the centralised HR office in Tamworth, Monday - Friday
