Description:
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our clients busy team on a temporary basis, providing hands-on HR support and first-line advice to employees and line managers.
This is a varied, generalist HR role with a strong focus on employee relations. You will support managers with day-to-day people matters, helping them navigate HR processes confidently while ensuring policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers
Provide practical advice on performance, attendance, absence, capability and conduct matters
Support managers through investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to procedures
Advise on probation reviews and extensions, including appropriate documentation and next steps
Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and support long-term sickness, return-to-work cases and workplace adjustments
Provide HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes and leavers
Manage Right to Work checks, DBS-related queries and associated compliance requirements
Support managers with employee relations matters, escalating complex or sensitive cases where appropriate
Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR documentation
Provide a responsive, professional and solutions-focused HR service in a fast-paced environment
About You
Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role
Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
Confident advising and supporting managers on day-to-day employee relations matters
Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships at all levels
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing employee records, case documentation and compliance
