Description:
A visible, hands-on HR Advisor role for someone who enjoys being close to operations and trusted by managers when people issues need practical support.
HR Advisor
We're supporting a well-established FMCG business with the appointment of an HR Advisor to support a busy operational site.
This is a broad generalist role where you'll be the first point of contact for HR advice on site, working closely with operational managers, site leadership and the wider HR team.
It would suit someone who enjoys being visible, approachable and credible in a manufacturing environment and someone who can balance employee support with clear guidance to managers.

Building strong relationships with operational managers and site stakeholders
Supporting engagement activity, employee communications, forums and wellbeing initiatives
Helping managers apply HR policies consistently and appropriately

You'll ideally bring:
Experience in HR within FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing or another operational environment
Strong ER case management experience, including more complex employee relations matters
Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
Confidence working with operational management teams and challenging where needed
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
CIPD Level 5 or 7, or relevant experienceYou don't need to be the finished article, but you do need to be comfortable working at pace, managing detail properly and building trust with people across the site.
Why Join?
This is a good opportunity for an HR Advisor who wants to be genuinely involved in the operation rather than sitting at arm's length.
You'll be joining a manufacturing environment where HR has real day-to-day influence, supporting managers, helping resolve people issues, driving engagement and contributing to how the site operates.
For someone who enjoys a mix of ER, stakeholder management, operational support and generalist HR, this offers a broad and credible next move.
