Role: HR / People Advisor

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £38k

We’re recruiting an exciting role for a passionate and experienced HR professional to join a fast growing, forward thinking, tech savvy property company.

People are at the heart of the company, and the role will involve a wide variety of responsibilities including employee relations, learning and development, recruitment, total rewards and employee experience.

We are looking for a candidate who is confident managing day to day tasks unsupervised, in a fast-paced environment, and who has HR generalist experience of providing HR expertise in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

The role.

· As HR / People Advisor you will be the first point of contact for all People queries and provide expert advice to employees and managers at all levels concerning all aspects of generalist HR, ensuring advice and action taken reflects company policies, values, and compliance with employment law.

· You will lead on employee relations, managing ER cases end to end independently, escalating complex cases to the Director of People as required and regularly review and propose updates to People policies and processes to reflect changes to local legislation

· This role will collaborate with hiring managers on the delivery of recruitment campaigns e.g. drafting job descriptions, job advertising, partnering with recruitment agencies, coordinating candidate testing and interviews and maintain the ATS, updating recruitment activity for reporting, offers and employment contracts, referencing checks, and onboarding / offboarding.

· You will act as the point of contact for payroll and employee benefits queries and act as an internal employee benefits expert, advising and promoting the benefits offering

· Effectively maintain the Learning Management and Performance Management System and build a strong relationship with the learning partner to identify new suitable courses, system maintenance and updates.

· Collaborate with Office Management, Marketing and ESG colleagues on the coordination and delivery of employee engagement, company events and wellbeing initiatives.

The Candidate:

· Essential - Previous experience in a similar HR generalist role within a fast paced environment, including hands on experience of managing varied cases and tasks unsupervised.

· Desirable - experience within a startup/high growth environment or a Property company is very desirable.

· Strong experience in ER end to end case management

· Solid working knowledge of UK employment law essentials and proven experience applying your knowledge to resolve cases.

· Experience in payroll coordination. HR, LMS and Performance Management systems and experience in coordinating employee benefits

· Relevant degree and/or HR qualification e.g. CIPD

· Exceptional customer service and communication skills and genuinely wants to deliver a great employee experience.

· A confident and resilient self-starter, ability to work alone and within a team

· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, ability to generate and prepare reports.

· A true passion for People practices and desire to develop in your specialist area.
