JOB TITLE: HR Advisor
GRADE: STAFF
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: EHQ Admin HR / London
POSITION TYPE (ft/pt): Full time, Permanent
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
DIRECT REPORT TO (TITLE): Head of HR
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Human Resources Advisor actively supports the operation of the business by providing an effective and professional HR service covering the full generalist remit.
MAIN JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
* Support for Managers and Staff in EHQ and UK with day to day HR queries.
* In charge of employee relations issues such as absence management, disciplinary and grievances.
* Providing support for sickness absence, short term and long term. Support the on boarding of new starters; induction, helping managers with objective and KPI setting.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety for the three offices in the UK.
* Provide in house coaching and training for managers, as requested by the management team.
* Assist Head of HR with the performance reviews and appraisals including evaluating feedback and addressing training needs of employees.
* Support recruitment and selection procedures for all UK sites are adhered to from start to end with relevant forms completed. Conduct interviews with managers.
* Advertise internally and externally regularly liaising with agencies. Ensure interviews are conducted in a fair and consistent manner with feedback given for each applicant.
* Administering benefits and insurances; organising renewals of employee benefit insurances and business insurances, reporting to manager.
* Carry out exit processes with leavers, ensuring information is recorded correctly for reporting purposes.
* Support of HRIS system, updating, creating workflows where required, training of staff and managers.
* Maintaining and supporting HMM’s sponsorship license; issuing SMS, ensuring all files are compliant and assisting with the on-boarding of seconded staff.
* Manage staff relationships, promptly respond to queries and manage expectations. Supporting of reporting on time management system and addressing issues with employees and line managers.
* Work closely with Head of HR across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practices.
* Support monthly payroll. General admin and office support if needed.
* In order to meet business needs a degree of flexibility may be required and the post holder may need to perform work not specifically referred to in the above.
* Support Head of HR in regards to HR issues for HMM offices in Europe.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
WORK SKILLS, GENERAL AND SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
* Recruitment and Selection.
* Employee Relations experience.
* Knowledge of UK and EU Employment Legislation.
* Training and Development.
* Performance Management.
* Strong administration skills.
* Degree qualified or equivalent.
* Previous relevant HR Generalist experience.
