Our client, a leading international intellectual property specialist are looking to expand their HR department with the addition of a HR Advisor in the Leeds office. This is a very varied role with high levels of responsibility, you will be working as part of a team alongside two other Senior HR advisors and reporting into the HR Director. The ideal person will already be in an HR Advisor position and will have extensive stakeholder management experience, have a good knowledge and understanding of DEI and be able to work closely with Department Heads to offer support and guidance on a wide range of HR matters
Main duties of the HR Advisor:
* Consulting with managers, department heads and partners and providing full support on a range of people management case
* Extensive stakeholder management
* Coaching and guiding managers and department heads on the best way to handle people management queries
* Liaising with the recruitment specialists, helping managers present a business case for additional headcount and assisting with final decision discussions
* Advising managers on employment law, any updates to policies and communicating these changes to the wider business
* Managing various projects such as career development frameworks, behavioural frameworks and salary benchmarking
* Working collaboratively with other departments such as internal communications
* Contributing to the monthly board reports
The ideal HR Advisor will have:
* 3 years’ experience in an HR generalist position in the private sector
* Confident at managing senior stakeholders
* Able to work well on own initiative
* Have good generalist HR knowledge and the confidence to provide advice to managers on a wide range of HR queries
* Previous experience of working in a fee earning environment
* Team player with a positive, people focused attitude
* Organised and proactive
* CIPD is preferred but not essential
