Job Title: HR Advisor, Salary: around £36K
  
Talentworx are working with a growing legal firm, currently with 34 Partners, specialising in the areas of private client, commercial property, renewable energy, farming and agricultural, telecoms and licensing, corporate, commercial dispute resolution, employment and family business. We have offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Dunblane and Dunfermline.
  
They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR Advisor to join our team in Glasgow. Your role will support the HR Manager in delivering a seamless service to Partners and employees. You will play a key role in supporting the HR Manager to help the business in achieving its ambitions for growth and supporting the development of our people by delivering core HR services to the business along with the HR Assistant.

Key responsibilities include:

• Recruitment: liaising with agencies; drafting job descriptions and adverts; and participating in short listing and interviewing candidates
• Graduate Recruitment: attending law fairs; reviewing traineeship applications; reviewing summer student placement applications; and co-ordination of the traineeship programme and PEAT 2 training requirements
• Trainee Solicitor Support: supporting the needs of trainees throughout their employment including carrying out quarterly reviews, managing seat moves and booking any training requirements on their behalf
• Peat 2 Training: liaising with supervisors and PEAT 2 co-ordinators, organising training, drafting relevant documentation required for training and submitting monthly reports to the Law Society of Scotland
• Training and Development: assist with development planning cycle and co-ordinating budgets; sourcing courses and overseeing the organisation of training courses; assist with the identification of high potential employees and development of succession planning
• Reward: co-ordinating the review and development of our rewards and benefits packages; co-ordinating reporting requirements for salary reviews
• HR Policy and Procedures: complete research, review and update HR policies and procedures
• Performance Reviews: assisting with the co-ordination of our annual performance review process
• Employee Survey: co-ordinate our annual employee survey including drafting relevant questions and communicating results.
• Employee Relations: assist with advice and support to Partners, Managers and Employees on grievance and disciplinary issues; manage flexible working application process; and monitoring absence
• Reporting: utilising the HRIS to produce timeous reports to support HR Director
• Payroll: Assist with monthly payroll including checking figures and running relevant reports in a timely manner.
• HR projects: assist with and or co-ordinate key HR projects

Essential Skills and Experience
  
• Be able to build rapport and communicate positively and effectively with all levels of employees and partners
• Be self-motivated and self-driven
• Be good at influencing people and look for constructive and positive solutions
• Have excellent IT, Excel and data analysis skills and confident in utilising information to support business priorities
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Proactive with a positive ‘can do’ approach
• Worked at HR Advisor level in previous roles for a minimum of 2 years
