Housing Support Worker

Peabody is looking for a passionate and proactive Housing Support Worker to support young people aged 18–25, including care leavers, to develop the skills and confidence needed for independent living.

This is not a care role. You'll provide practical and emotional support, helping young people access housing, manage benefits and budgeting, and build positive futures.

Key Responsibilities

* Support young people to achieve independent living goals.

* Assist with housing options, benefits, budgeting, and tenancy-related matters.

* Build trusted relationships and create a safe, supportive environment.

* Deliver engaging activities and use personal interests (e.g. sports, music, art) to encourage participation.

* Manage a caseload and work with external agencies to deliver tailored support.

About You

* Experience working with young people, housing, supported accommodation, education, or related sectors.

* Able to engage with individuals who may have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, or substance misuse.

* Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.

* Confident working independently and as part of a team.

* Knowledge of safeguarding, support planning, or key working is desirable.

Important Information

* Full-time onsite role.

* Must be available to work 5 days per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

* Shifts may include early mornings and evenings.
