Housing Support Worker – Port Talbot
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? We are seeking dedicated Housing Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Port Talbot. As a Homeless Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals facing homelessness and related challenges, helping them to rebuild their lives with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support hostel occupants in adhering to rules and regulations
* Provide emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness or other vulnerabilities
* Explain and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within the hostel
* Offer relevant information to visitors and residents
* Liaise with Housing Officers to meet client needs effectively
* Promote equality and diversity within the supported housing environment
* Maintain high standards of customer care and support
Requirements:
* Strong empathetic approach and value-based mindset
* Experience within a social care or supported housing environment (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexibly across shifts (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am)
