£17, 631 per annum actual, £31,065 per annum FTE

We are currently looking to recruit for a Domestic Abuse Housing Support Coordinator working 21 hours a week, based in North Kirklees.

The role includes providing high-quality, person-centred housing support services to those who have experienced domestic abuse, in our refuge and other accommodation. Processing referrals and conducting person centred support needs and risk assessments, you will provide an effective, efficient, and sensitive service where no two working days are the same.

If you do not have housing experience but have a track record of provided person-centred support to those who have experienced domestic abuse, we would still like to hear from you.

Safeguarding is a priority, and you will be partnership working with DRAMM and MARAC, social services, the police, safeguarding teams, health services and schools. You will also be dealing with the day-to-day supervision of the refuge accommodation, which includes a core site and dispersed properties.

Whilst no formal qualifications are required, you must have demonstrable experience of:

* working with clients who have experienced domestic abuse

* working within guidelines

* liaising and working with other agencies

* identifying and managing situations involving a level of risk.

* the issues and the challenges faced by our service users

This is a temporary vacancy to cover maternity leave - cover needed until January or February 2025

This role will require an enhanced DBS check.

Due to the sensitive needs of our service users the postholder will need to be female. This is a genuine occupational requirement under The Equality Act.
