Use statutory powers to regulate and improve conditions of private sector homes in Central Bedfordshire.
You will have delegated power to take enforcement action, where necessary in line with our Enforcement Policy
Support the delivery of the Councils Housing Assistance policy and programmes, to achieve renewal objectives, environmental sustainability, maximisising public and private investment in the Housing stock.
Knowledge of construction, housing and related legislation, and competency in enforcing legal standards, commensurate with level/grade.
Progress the Housing Services delivery of the Housing Assistance programme, and associated schemes, including face-to-face interactions with a range of customers and providing expert advice.
You will maintain a high level of accuracy in record keeping/data entry
Be the first point of contact for our customers relevant to the services provided.
Manage a varied caseload, ensure good time management
Your cases will be complex and varied, across the breath of Private Sector Housing Functions
You will support and advise colleagues and PSH management
