Housing Officer Opportunity

Daventry, Milton Keynes

£31,500 per annum

Permanent

Full time (37 hours per week)

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to manage and provide intensive housing management support at two of our Independent Living Schemes in Daventry and Milton Keynes. On occasion you may be required to visit our other schemes in Northamptonshire and Luton.

You will be responsible for the management of tenancies and duties that include: – completing support plans and risk assessments for residents, monitoring rent accounts, and re-letting our void units, as well as providing day-to-day housing support to customers.

This role is 30 hours per week, we can offer flexible working arrangements Monday – Friday. Access to your own vehicle and full driving license is essential.

What you will be doing:

Manage Independent Living Scheme(s), by carrying out all intensive housing management tasks.

*

Assessing incoming residents and support needs to ensure they can independently maintain a tenancy.

*

Managing scheme budgets and completing scheme action plans.

*

Assessing the housing and support needs of customers

*

Working with external agencies.

*

Carrying out all day-to-day intensive housing management and support tasks.

*

Remaining fully engaged in all housing related issues including arrears and money management, ASB, safeguarding and repairs/maintenance of household.

*

Working with internal teams, overseeing the health, safety, and maintenance of the schemes, ensuring that compliance requirements are met.

We’d love to meet someone with:

*

It would be beneficial to have experience, knowledge or understanding of the housing environment and tenancy management issues.

*

An understanding of issues relating to Professional Boundaries, Safeguarding and Antisocial behaviour.

*

Demonstratable experience of providing sensitive support to the needs of customers and working with customers with complex needs.

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong IT literacy skills.

*

Confidence to work independently in a lone working environment.

*

Experienced in support plan writing with the ability to assess needs and risk effectively.

*

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied and busy workload.

*

Full driving licence and vehicle (Travel between schemes/sites required)
