Its Legal Services team advises on a broad range of matters across housing, litigation, governance and local government law, working closely with stakeholders to deliver practical and effective legal solutions. You'll join a collaborative and supportive legal team comprising experienced lawyers, legal officers and paralegals, with a strong emphasis on professional development, mentoring and career progression.

Your new role
As a Senior Housing Litigation Lawyer, you will play a key role within the Litigation and Housing Team, managing a varied caseload of housing and litigation matters while providing supervision and support to junior colleagues.
The role will have a particular focus on public sector housing law, including advising on housing policies and procedures, conducting and overseeing housing-related litigation, and providing strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders.
Alongside housing matters, you will have the opportunity to develop experience across a wider range of legal disciplines, including:

Civil and commercial litigation
Property litigation
Local government law
Public law and judicial review
Education law
Employment lawThis position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer looking to take the next step towards senior legal leadership and management.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
Significant experience in housing law and civil litigation gained within England and Wales.
Experience advising on housing policies, procedures and housing-related disputes.
Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience supervising, mentoring or managing junior legal professionals, or the aptitude and ambition to develop these skills.
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be adv litigation
Property litigation
Local government law
Education law
Employment law
Judicial review
