North Shields (Railway Terrace)
Permanent, Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Pay £10.90 per hour, £21,314 per annum. (increasing to £23,464 or £12 per hour on April 2024)

Calling all night owls! We have a fabulous job opportunity working in our North Shields service. If you can stay awake, alert, and awesome throughout the night, instead of snoozing the night away this could be the housing concierge role for you!
Typical day as a waking nights concierge
You will become part of the team in supporting our 24-hour staffed service, supporting over 60 customers.
You will be based in our service, and also responsible to oversee the safety and security of customers in our dispersed properties too.
You’ll be our first point of contact for customers during the night, offering a listening ear or signposting to the support they need.
You’ll monitor CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises in which you are based.
Monitor visits to and from the building, ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to.
You’ll chip in with looking after our buildings too, making sure they’re sparkly, safe, secure and presentable for customers and colleagues.

You bring
Passion, motivation, and a can-do approach to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives.
Experience in working with adults with diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health, drug and alcohol substance misuse and / or offending behaviour. (Or please tell us about your transferable skills in your cover letter.)
A team player with the initiative to work alone. Don’t worry you’ll have the full back up of our wider team including our out of hours emergency support team too.
Accuracy with any written / verbal communication. Your records and assessments will keep us on track and help us to continuously improve too.
Sound awareness of safeguarding and confidentiality risks, we will train you on our local procedures.

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. There are 23 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too.
Job details
Working at Railway Terrace, North Shields for all shifts
37.5 hours, days vary based on service rota (Any flexibility can be discussed at interview)
Waking night role on a 4 on 4 off rota basis.
Supporting services and dispersed properties in the local area.
Driving is not essential.
You’ll need a DBS check done and we pay for that.
