Description:
We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer who can hit the ground running.
Candidates will need to have experience of homeless prevention and relief work, managing a varied caseload and a good working knowledge of the homelessness legislation. This role focuses on supporting clients owed the main housing duty.
Tasks include keeping on top of routine customer enquiries, ensuring client files are kept up to date and exploring any opportunities to support clients to move on into settled accommodation. In addition, the role includes working alongside colleagues in our Lettings, Rents and Corporate Fraud Teams to identify where tenant conduct has caused the Council's main duty to cease. Where the main duty comes to an end candidates would need to be confident issuing robust s.193 discharge of duty letters
