Description:
Our client is a leading supplier of Fresh Produce based in Kings Lynn, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a temporary Night Shift Warehouse Operative/Housekeeper to start asap.
This is a temporary role till September.
Hour rates is £13.75 per hour.
Hours are Sunday – Friday – usually with a Tuesday off
8pm till finish usually 5.30am/6pm
Duties will include:
To remove discarded packaging from ALL operational areas.
Remove empty packaging from the dry goods area.
Stack and separate re-useable forms of packaging as outlined by Line Leader.
To ensure that card compacting is continuous and that a backlog is not created through the duration of the night shift.
To remove non-packaging debris and place in the correct bins and empty bins when necessary.
To ensure all Fire Exits remain clear of debris and packaging.
To liaise with team leaders and ensure availability of product throughout the duration of the night shift.
To help pick orders when required to do so in between cleaning responsibilities.
To conduct a walk around check at the of the night shift ensuring that clean and tidy work place is left and all bins are emptied for the hand over to the day shift.
To adhere to all company health and safety guidelines, wear Hi-Viz jacket, Safety footwear.
Duties may also include on the Warehouse side:
To pick split and bulk orders in an accurate and efficient manner.
To monitor quality of products whilst picking and report any deficiencies as soon as they are apparent.
To load vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, respecting manual handling techniques and checking that all items have been loaded correctly.
Report any order anomalies or quality issues to your Line Leader as soon as they are apparent.
To adhere to all compliance requirements and always adopt a “clean as you go” approach to nightly tasks.
To be aware of and monitor Critical Control Points (temperature).
To adhere to all company health and safety guidelines, wear Hi-Viz jacket, Safety footwear.
To have read and understood all elements of the “Night Staff Protocol”.
Secondary Responsibilities.
To provide sickness cover to pickers/loaders when required to do so.
To provide assistance to other operational areas when requested and able to do so
