Job Overview:

We are recruiting for an experienced Housekeeper to supervise the day to day running of the Domestic Staff, working within the team to ensure a high degree of cleanliness in all areas of the care home. To organise day to day work requirements and set required standards against which work will be checked, in accordance with correct procedures on an ‘as and ‘when’ required basis. To carry out the necessary housekeeping duties ensuring that the home remains clean and homely at all times, this includes the care of linen and service users personal laundry, making beds and ensuring service users bedrooms are clean and tidy and to assist with any other housekeeping duty that may arise. To ensure that the kitchen area is cleaned including laying and cleaning tables, washing up and ensuring that food preparation areas hygienically cleaned and maintained.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by applicant. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Experience / Qualification:

* NVQ Health and Safety

* COSHH

* Previous experience in a similar role within a Care Home environment preferred.
