House manager - 6 months FTC
The essential purpose of this job
* To offer a flexible, high quality, person centred service which will enable people to live in the community in accordance with their own life style, and with independence, safety and respect.
* To manage a staff team to deliver a person centred service for adults and young people with varying degrees of learning disabilities as set out in the White Paper Valuing People now as determined by CQC (Care Quality Commission)
* To complete rota and plan activities in line with person centred plans and individual service funds that contribute to independence, choice and community access whilst providing new opportunities for service users to experience
* To take particular responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of Personal Assistants/ Support Workers and Support Officers
* Manage staff teams supporting children and young people whilst demonstrating positive attitudes and being a positive role model.
* Develop and maintain a professional and supportive relationship with service users and their families
* Ensure a happy and stimulating environment which promotes inclusion, contribution and choice for service users
* Facilitate, implement and monitor person centred plans supporting
* service users in maximising independence and individual potential.
* Provide support to ensure all areas of wellbeing are achieved inclusive of
physical, material, emotional and environmental.
* Ensure that all tenants receive a varied nutritional and appropriate diet.
