Accommodation provided: Yes, on an all-inclusive basis
Charge for accommodation: 70 GBP per week
Workplace description: In a stunning setting surrounded by the beautiful Ardgour Hills and overlooking Loch Leven, this hotel has a decked outdoor terrace for al fresco dining, a bar offering beers, wines and spirits and serves fresh fish and seafood in its restaurant. Just 5 minutes’ walk from the loch, Glencoe Hotel is 16 miles from Fort William. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers and climbers.
Main duties and responsibilities: The restaurant is a busy eatery serving char-grilled and fried dishes (range from battered fish and seafood to steaks). You will lead the Commis chefs and kitchen porters making sure that every single dish comes out swiftly and perfectly. This role comes under the supervision of the hotel's Head Chef. The job also entails further duties such as weekly stocktaking and food ordering.
Essential are looking for candidates with experience of working as a Sr. Chef de Partie/Sous Chef (however this job would be suitable for a CDP looking to head a busy kitchen) and cooking in a high volume kitchen. The ability to cope under pressure and work well as a team player within a growing kitchen team is essential for the role. You must have a minimum of food safety level 1 and training on the specialised kitchen equipment will be given. You must be reliable and flexible, willing to work evenings, weekends as well as bank holidays. Salary can be negotiated depending upon experience
