Responsibilities in your new role as Hotel Accountant
* Supervising day-to-day financial transactions, including banking, bookkeeping, and related operations
* Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers
* Completing month-end and year-end reporting, which involves accruals, prepayments, and journal preparations
* Analysing overheads and providing insights on financial performance, efficiencies, and potential risks
* Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accurate monthly payroll processing
* Reviewing cash flow and assisting in financial planning
* Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and managing HMRC processes
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are in search of a seasoned Hotel Accountant with at least 5 years of finance management expertise. The ideal candidate will hold full or partial ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting software platforms. Essential skills include exceptional time management, effective team management, strong leadership abilities, collaborative teamwork, and the capacity to cultivate robust professional relationships.
