At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Hospitality Assessor to join their expanding team based in Southampton, Aldershot, and Horsham.

This is a full time, permanent Hospitality Assessor role offering hybrid working and the opportunity to use your hands on hospitality experience in a new direction. You will work with apprentices and their employers to plan and carry out end point assessment activities, assessing their skills, knowledge, and behaviours against the relevant apprenticeship standard.

What you will be doing:

• Work with apprentices and their employers to plan and schedule assessment activities within the required assessment period

• Conduct end point assessment activities through face to face and electronic methods

• Assess apprentice skills, knowledge and behaviours against the relevant apprenticeship standard and grading criteria

• Determine the overall grade for apprentices based on their performance across the assessment activities

• Communicate assessment decisions and complete required reports within agreed timescales

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up to date records of apprentice assessment activity and caseload information

• Ensure assessment decisions are objective and that any actual or potential conflicts of interest are identified and reported

• Attend and participate in standardisation and training activities to maintain consistent assessment practices

• Maintain up to date occupational knowledge and keep evidence of your continuous professional development

• Provide advice to the Assessment Services team on relevant end point assessment queries when required

What we are looking for:

• Current and relevant hands-on hospitality experience at the appropriate occupational level

• Experience within front of house hospitality, particularly Front Office, Reception, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the relevant apprenticeship standard and grading criteria, or the ability to develop this knowledge

• Experience of completing reports, maintaining accurate records, and managing administrative responsibilities

• Ability to use a range of IT systems and Microsoft Office

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable:

• Back of house hospitality experience

• Current workplace assessment qualification such as CAVA or an equivalent qualification

• Willingness to work towards an assessment qualification where required

• Previous experience in assessment, training, or vocational education

• Previous experience working with apprentices or learners

Salary and benefits:

• Salary £28,245 to £29,491 per annum

• Additional £4,500 London Weighting or £1,850 South East Weighting on applicable postcodes
