Home Manager
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk
We are recruiting for an experienced Home Manager to lead a nursing and residential care home in Hadleigh, Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated care professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for person-centred care and the commercial awareness needed to run a successful service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring residents receive high-quality care while maintaining regulatory compliance, managing budgets and achieving occupancy targets.
You will be supported by an Operations Manager and central support teams, alongside a Deputy Manager, Administrator and dedicated Hospitality and Housekeeping teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop the staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion and high-quality care.
Ensure the home meets all CQC requirements and relevant legislation, maintaining high standards of care and working towards achieving Outstanding ratings.
Oversee the home's budget, manage costs and ensure financial and operational targets are achieved.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain full occupancy and promote the home to prospective residents, families and referral partners.
Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders, responding effectively to feedback and concerns.
Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve care delivery, staff performance and overall service standards.
Support the ongoing growth and development of the home, ensuring residents remain at the heart of all decisions.
About You
Previous experience managing a nursing or residential care home.
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, legislation and best practice within the care sector.
A proven track record of delivering high standards of care, with experience improving services and working towards Outstanding CQC ratings.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and build effective relationships.
Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, occupancy levels and marketing within the private care sector.
A genuine passion for person-centred care and improving residents' quality of life.
The ability to contribute to the continued growth and success of the service.
An NMC nursing qualification and relevant post-registration experience would be advantageous but are not essential.
