Are you an experienced NMC-registered Nursing Home Manager looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely make your mark?

We are recruiting on behalf of an established 40-bed nursing home in West Sussex seeking an experienced, commercially aware and compassionate Manager to take full responsibility for the operation of the home.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real autonomy. You'll be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of care, developing and supporting the team and, importantly, helping to increase occupancy and drive the continued success of the home.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the clinical, operational and commercial performance of the service.

You will:

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the 40-bed nursing home
Maintain high standards of person-centred nursing and residential care
Ensure full compliance with CQC, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
Lead, motivate and develop the nursing, care and support teams
Maintain safe staffing levels and effective rota management
Oversee care plans, risk assessments, medication management and clinical governance
Manage inspections, audits and continuous improvement plans
Build strong relationships with residents, families, GPs, local authorities and other healthcare professionals
Take an active role in admissions and assessments
Develop relationships within the local community and drive occupancy growth, including the self-funder market
Manage the home effectively from both a quality and commercial perspective

About You

We are looking for an established care professional who combines strong clinical leadership with commercial awareness.

You will need:

A current NMC PIN - RGN, RMN or RNLD
Management or senior leadership experience within a nursing or care home
Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding and care legislation
Experience of maintaining and improving quality standards
The ability to lead, motivate and develop a successful team
A good understanding of occupancy, admissions and the commercial performance of a care home
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A compassionate, resident-focused approach with the confidence to make decisions and lead from the front

What's On Offer?

£65,000 basic salary
£5,000 performance-related bonus
Additional company benefits
The autonomy to lead and develop the home
Support from an experienced senior management team
The opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future success and growth of the service This would suit an experienced Nursing Home Manager or Registered Manager who takes pride in delivering excellent care but also understands that a successful home needs strong occupancy, an engaged team and effective commercial management.

If you are an experienced nurse-qualified manager looking for your next challenge in West Sussex, we would love to hear from you.
