Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Canterbury

We are currently recruiting for a HLTA to join a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and resilient HLTA looking to make a genuine impact within SEN education.

You will support across the classroom, lead small group interventions, and provide additional behavioural and emotional support to pupils. This school offers a supportive environment with a strong focus on helping students build confidence, engagement, and independence.

The Role:

Working as a HLTA within a SEMH setting
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Delivering interventions and classroom support
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in Canterbury
Working closely with Teachers and SEN professionals

What We're Looking For:

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Experience supporting SEMH or SEN pupils is highly desirable
A calm, resilient, and proactive approachWorking as a HLTA in Canterbury is incredibly rewarding, offering the opportunity to genuinely change young people's lives while gaining valuable SEN experience within a supportive SEMH school.
