Full-Time Temporary History Specialist required for Merton school.

Location: Merton, SW London

Start Date: ASAP, with view to go Permanent in September

Duration: Summer term, possibility of permanent role in September

Pay Scale: MPS for Inner London

Our client is a large, mixed secondary school located in Merton, SW London, seeking to recruit a full-time History specialist to teach KS3 to KS5 History, full time, ongoing.

The client school has a strong track record of academic achievement, with students consistently achieving above-average results in their GCSEs and A-levels
The client school is conveniently located near public transportation links, making it easily accessible from across Richmond and the wider London area.Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons to students in KS3 to KS5
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that engages and challenges students
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of our students
Assess and track student progress using a variety of methods and provide timely feedback to students and parents
Contribute to the development and implementation of our History curriculum
Participate in faculty and school-wide meetings and professional development activities as required

Requirements:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Relevant degree in History or related field
Experience teaching History at KS3 to KS5 level
Knowledge of the current National Curriculum for Humanities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
