Job Title: History Teacher

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Job Duties:

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in History to students.
Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies to meet the educational needs of students.
Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the History curriculum.
Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Degree in History or a related field.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum for History.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching History at secondary school level.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of historical events and concepts.
Effective classroom management skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
Proficient in using educational technology in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education.
Experience teaching History up to A-Level standard.

Working Conditions:

Work primarily takes place in a classroom setting.
May require participation in school events outside of regular hours.
Interaction with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
