History Teacher – Barnsley

Full-time | September 2026 | Long-term supply

PK Education are working with a secondary school in Barnsley who are looking for a History Teacher to join their Humanities department from September.

The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 History, including GCSE content. The school has an established curriculum and a supportive Humanities team, making this a good opportunity for a teacher who wants to concentrate on delivering strong History lessons within a well-run department.

The role includes:

Teaching History across KS3 and KS4
Delivering engaging lessons around a broad historical curriculum
Preparing students for GCSE
Assessing and tracking student progress
Working collaboratively within the Humanities faculty
We're looking for:

QTS or relevant teaching experience
Strong History subject knowledge
KS3 and KS4 teaching experience
Good classroom management
