As a History Teacher, your responsibilities will be to:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring history to life, aligning with the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of historical events, themes, and methodologies.
Assess, monitor, record, and report on students' progress and achievements in history.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s policies and practices to support historical education.
Set and assess homework assignments that reinforce key historical concepts and skills.
Requirements for the innovative History Teacher role:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching certifications.
Demonstrate a passion for history and a commitment to fostering students' historical understanding and skills.
Maintain accurate records of students' progress and utilize assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
Be an enthusiastic and innovative educator who inspires curiosity and critical thinking.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Provide a fully checkable work history.
