Prospero Teaching are looking for a History teacher to teach in a 'good' secondary school in Wigan from the next academic year. You will be responsible for teaching History, both to KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for day to day, short term or long term supply booking.

The schools are a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school also provides CPD throughout the year and you will be expected to attend meetings, inset days to support the school as well as follow the school values.

Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active "on call" team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters.

The position is open to NQT's/ECT's and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

Science Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last yearTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
