A Good Secondary School based in Barking and Dagenham, is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate History Teacher to join their team from September 2024.

This large mixed comprehensive school located in the borough of Barking and Dagenham, are looking to recruit an engaging History Teacher to join their team from September 2024. The very successful Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team are committed to delivering a broad and balanced education, one which focuses on not only academic qualifications, but also the value of vocational qualifications with a big focus on extra-curricular activities. They work very hard to provide their students with a learning environment that encourages each and every student to reach their own potential.

HISTORY TEACHER:

Here lies the opportunity to join not only a great school, but a very successful History department. History is an integral part of a well-rounded education. It allows students to explore the past and make connections through time. Understanding our link with the past helps us to understand our present world. Not only that but it encourages our students to question, reason and formulate their own conclusions about why events happened and what their consequences were. This critical thinking is a highly valued skill, not just academically, but also professionally.

The department are looking for a History Teacher to join their team from September. The role will be for the end of the academic year in the first instance.

To be considered for this History Teacher role you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
PGCE in History
Experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4
