Responsibilities As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for:
Handling incoming calls and providing exceptional customer service.
Managing on-hires and off-hires efficiently and accurately.
Performing administrative duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Coordinating with internal teams to meet customer requirements.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Assisting with any additional tasks as required to support the business.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the plant hire or construction industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in administrative tasks and attention to detail.
A proactive and customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
Competence in using computer systems and software for record-keeping and communication.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day as a Hire Controller will include:
Answering and managing customer inquiries via phone and email.
Processing hire requests, including scheduling equipment deliveries and collections.
Updating and maintaining accurate records of hires and returns.
Liaising with the operations team to ensure equipment availability and timely delivery.
Resolving customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Supporting the team with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
