Highways Engineer

Description:

A new opportunity has arisen for a Highways Engineer to join our client's expanding team based in Slough. As the successful Engineer you will be working on a range of schemes within the industry, in an established team of Highways Engineering professionals enabling you to advance your career and develop your skill set.
 
The Role
·To assist in the delivery of a range of highways engineering related projects on behalf of both public and private sector clients
·Assist junior staff to ensure that their project work is technically correct
·Assist Project Managers to ensure that deadlines are met and within budget
·Respond to client and customer enquiries taking messages, when necessary and ensuring that their needs are met  
·Managing projects in accordance with Client requirements to exceed their expectations
·Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QMS system
·To assist the Senior and Principal Engineers with report writing and preparation
·Assist with the writing of technical reports
·Development of conceptual design and producing engineering designs and details in accordance with project requirements
 
The Ideal candidate
·Degree or equivalent
·Proven experience of Highways
·Be working towards professional membership ICE/CIHT
·Technical knowledge of highways engineering
·Be an expert CAD user.
·Competent user of Civils 3D
·Knowledge and experience of financial management.
·Detailed knowledge of highways and traffic engineering and the ability to assist to develop schemes from inception through to completion.
