About the role:
We are looking for a talented Highways Asset Manager to maximise the life of our
Highway assets as Central Bedfordshire continues to grow and harness the almost
unlimited potential of future technological advances.
As the successful candidate, you’ll have extensive experience within the Highways
and Transport sector, together with developed knowledge and understanding of Asset
Management software, industry codes of practice, processes and procedures.
You’ll be a commercially driven leader who can deliver this service and fully
integrate principles of whole life asset planning.
As an excellent communicator you’ll work collaboratively across the Highways
department as well as other relevant CBC departments, with elected members,
contractors and other stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes. As the Highways
Asset Manager you’ll manage, coach and develop a team of technical staff, providing
clear direction and support and to enable individuals to achieve their potential and
deliver effective business results. You will have proven technical experience in a
highway or civil engineering related field with evidence of continuous professional
development and industry related knowledge in the highway environment.
