Highway Manager

Description:

My client is seeking a Highway Manager (MPMI Manager) to oversee and manage a team of highway engineers within the highways sector. This temporary contract role is crucial for covering key responsibilities in the design and delivery of major capital schemes, as well as managing minor improvements from August to October (possibly longer)

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a team of highway engineers
Overseeing the design and implementation of capital schemes
Coordinating third party developments
Supervising contractors and consultants
Ensuring the stability and safety of bridges, structures, and geotechnical elements
Maintaining project timelines and budgets
Providing technical guidance and support to the engineering team
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

Job Requirements:

Experience in highway engineering
Strong understanding of capital scheme design and implementation
Ability to manage third party developments
Proficiency in supervising contractors and consultants
Knowledge of bridges, structures, and geotechnics
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent project management and organisational abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
