Description:
Our client is looking for a diligent Highway Inspector to oversee and enhance road safety and quality on a contract basis in the East Midlands
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular inspections and condition surveys of highways within the assigned area.
Identify, record, and report any issues related to road conditions, signage, and public safety.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repairs.
Manage and maintain inspection records and documentation in compliance with industry standards.
Respond to public inquiries and concerns regarding highway maintenance and safety.
Participate in the planning and implementation of road safety improvement strategies.
Job Requirements:
Understanding of highway inspection procedures and safety standards.
Capable of assessing road conditions and identifying necessary maintenance works.
Strong organisational skills to manage documentation and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for effective interaction with colleagues and the public.
