Highway Enforcement Officer - £21.95 p/h
Hybrid working - but a lot of out and about investigation work
Initial 6 month contract, possible extensions
Experience of delivering on‑street statutory enforcement within a local authority, public sector organisation, or comparable contracted enforcement service.
Experience of engaging with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to resolve issues impacting the local environment.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with external partner agencies, including the police and other enforcement bodies.
Experience of managing a caseload of enforcement, compliance, or investigation‑based cases on behalf of a front‑line operational service.
Evidence‑gathering and reporting skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate written statements and case files to support formal or legal proceedings.
Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to highway or public realm (Highways Act 1980 - ideal but not essential).
Resilience, professionalism, and confidence working in an on‑street environment, including dealing with conflict and maintaining personal safety
Full driving licence with access to their own vehicle
