Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting children's learning and development across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2?
Do you have strong classroom management skills and the confidence to support pupils across different primary year groups?
Are you adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to helping children achieve their full potential?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a dedicated HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.
The school is looking to take on a motivated HLTA on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful HLTA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes, supporting teaching and learning, delivering planned activities and working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
The successful HLTA will have:
A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant qualification
Experience working within a mainstream Primary School across KS1 and KS2
A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
The ability to support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs
A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education
