Key Responsibilities

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) based in Wirral, your daily duties will include:

* Supporting the delivery of planned learning activities, including targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions to help pupils meet individual goals

* Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absence, maintaining routines, behaviour expectations, and a safe learning environment

* Supporting day-to-day operations in your role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance

* Assisting with planning and preparation of resources, adapting tasks to meet a range of needs, including SEND where required

* Monitoring learning, contributing to assessment evidence, and feeding back progress to teaching staff to support strong outcomes

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will need:

* HLTA Status (or strong equivalent advanced classroom support experience)

* Proven experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or in a similar school-based role, including leading learning activities and/or interventions

* Strong practical knowledge of safeguarding expectations and inclusive practice within an education setting

* Enhanced DBS Check and Right to Work in the UK
