SEMH Higher Level Teaching Assistant/HLTA
Location: Bradford
Start Date: Immediate start
Salary: Band 7 scale 11-17 (NJC scales)
£22,919 - £25,382 Depending on experience
Do you have experience as a teaching assistant working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities/SEND with challenging behaviour?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision near the centre of Bradford, working with some of the hardest to reach young people from across the district, across two sites including an inner-city farm.
The School is looking to take on an engaging and resilient HLTA to join their team. The right candidate will have experience in supporting pupils with SEND and behavioural difficulties as many of the pupils have SEMH, autism and ADHD. The Successful candidate will be able to work well within a team and have a positive attitude. Desirable – experience in animal care or construction. No two days will be the same the right candidate will be someone that can think on their feet and be flexible.
The Successful SEMH HLTA will have:
Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
A caring and supportive nature
A flexible approach to students learning styles
Have experience of working with SEND students on a 1:1 and small group basis
Have experience working with students with challenging behaviour
