About This HLTA Opportunity

A community-focused primary school in Ealing is seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for the new academic year.

As the school’s Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning. You will cover planned teacher release time, lead academic interventions and provide additional support to pupils who need help developing confidence and independence.

You will join a school where teaching assistants are valued as an important part of the wider teaching team.

Main Responsibilities

Delivering pre-planned lessons in KS1 and KS2

Leading booster groups and structured interventions

Supporting pupils with SEND in class and during targeted sessions

Using questioning and feedback to extend pupil learning

Helping to create engaging classroom resources

Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records

Contributing to a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment

What We Are Looking For

You should:

Hold HLTA status or a relevant Level 3 qualification

Have strong experience in a primary school setting

Be comfortable taking responsibility for a whole class

Understand how to support pupils with different learning needs

Demonstrate effective behaviour management

Be organised, reliable and able to use your initiative

Have the right to work in the UK

Previous experience supporting phonics, literacy or mathematics interventions would be particularly valuable.
